About the Artist

Jasmine Echevarria is a currently a Junior student at the Maine College of Art, where she is majoring in illustration. She is interested in conceptual design for video games, comic books, graphic novels, etc. The materials she uses mostly consist of watercolors, acrylics, graphite, pen and ink. Outsides of her major, Jasmine enjoys experimenting with 3D forms such as sculpting and resin casting. These particular crafts are also used in her hobbies like costuming and prop making.
Jasmine has a very peculiar theme within her work that involves more darker, mysterious mishaps like the occult or including pop culture references throughout her pieces. Despite her preference for subjects on the darker side, she can easily adapt to any form of aesthetic. She likes to think of herself as a jack of all trades and is willing to learn all forms of art to not be categorized as “just an Illustrator”.
